2025 Election Info for American Forkers
Better late than never? Sorry about that.
This is an informational post with links to candidate information and audio and video of candidate “debates” for these races:
American Fork Mayor
American Fork City Council
Aspen Peaks School Board Seat 6
Aspen Peaks School Board Seat 7
Brief opinion and commentary will be a separate post which will follow soon.

Important! The Utah County Clerk must receive your mailed ballot by Election Day
I wouldn’t be confident that the US Postal Service will deliver a ballot mailed after Wednesday, October 29, by Election Day, November 4. But you can always use a ballot dropbox such as the one at the American Fork Library (right next to the drive-through book return bins) until the polls close on Election Day.
Previously, mailed ballots had to be postmarked no later than the day before Election Day. This clever change for 2025 is brought to us by the Utah Legislature.
The Candidates
American Fork voters will vote for one mayoral candidate, two city council candidates, and one school board candidate in one of two races.
Candidates are listed here in alphabetical order by surname.
American Fork Mayor (four-year term):
George Brown
Brad Frost (incumbent)
American Fork City Council (two seats, four-year terms)
Deb Anderson
Staci Carroll (incumbent)
Ryan Hunter (incumbent)
Seth Stewart
Aspen Peaks School Board Seat 6 (initial three-year term, four years thereafter)
Tyler Bahr
Jeanne-Marie Burrows
Aspen Peaks School Board Seat 7 (initial five-year term, four years thereafter)
Stephanie Jones
Jason Theler
Note that four of seven Aspen Peaks board seats will have three-year terms initially. The other three will have five-year terms. This is to stagger future elections, so all seven terms don’t end the same year.
Candidate Event Audio
A note about the audio: I edited out some long pauses, a lot of housekeeping by hosts and moderators, and some of the applause at the end. With one exception noted below, nothing substantive is missing from candidate responses.
Instead of presenting separate files, to save lots of my time I have for you a single file for each event, with time stamps for specific questions and such.
